The Foreign Affairs Committee will hold an extraordinary meeting on the current Ukraine-Russia gas supply dispute on Thursday 8 January with Aleksey Miller, Gazprom Chair, and Igor Didenko, First Deputy Chair of Naftogaz, the Ukrainian gas company.
The meeting takes place at 1100-1230 Room ASP 5 G 3.
Parliamentarians from Russia and Ukraine and Ukrainian ministers will also take part: the other Russian participants are Konstantin Kosachev, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Russian Duma and Juri Lipatov, Chair of the Duma’s Energy Committee. Ukraine will be represented by Hryhoriy Nemyria, Deputy Prime Minister, Yuriy Progan, Minister of Energy, and Borys Tarasyuk, Chair of European Integration Committee of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament).
This meeting is jointly organised with the European Parliament’s Delegation to the EU-Russia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, chaired by Ria Oomen-Ruijten (EPP-ED, NL) and the Delegation to the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, chaired by Adrian Severin (PES, RO).
