Evacuata la stazione Charing Cross cosa prendere per muoversi

23-11-2014 Londra circa alle 11 nella stazione dei treni a Charing Cross stazione vicina alla piazza di Trafalgar square nel cuore di Londra e’ andato a fuoco un vagone al binario 6. Ancora sconosciute le cause dell’incendio. Non ci sono feriti al momento. I vigili del fuoco sono sul posto, l’area e’ stata evacuata. La stazione della metropolitana e’ stata chiusa per poco e poi e’ stata riaperta al normale utilizzo. La notizia e’ apparsa subito sui social media Tw e Fb.  I nostri giornaisti sono sul posto ma la stazione e’ isolata al momento e non e’ possibile richiedere informazioni. 

 

The following alterations will apply:

  • Trains from London Charing Cross to Orpington will now start at London Bridge
  • Trains from Orpington to Charing Cross will terminate at London Victoria.
  • Passengers travelling further south than Orpington please travel from London Victoria.
  • Passengers travelling towards Dartford and Hayes please travel from London Bridge.

Alternative travel options

Passengers may use:

  • Southern services on any reasonable routes.
  • London trams between Elmers End and East Croydon where you can change to connect onto a Southern service into London.
  • Docklands Light Railway between Lewisham and Greenwich.

There is no firm estimate yet of how long disruption will last but it is likely to continue until at least 15:00.
