LONDON : GemlucART is an artistic competition organized by the Charity Gemluc in Monaco that raises funds to fight against cancer. It has been founded in 1973 and recently the artistic competition helped to raise more funds for its purpose. Every year there is a theme which the professional painters and sculptors have to follow. This year the title and the theme of the competition is “ Tous Uni” (All Together), meaning everyone against the pollution, terrorism and for the environment  and it will run from the 30^th of September to the 15^th of October

It is not easy to be included in this famous  event. The artists have to submit their works to the committee and  after a hard selection by the judges only 100 works will be exhibited at the Auditorium Ranieri III for 15 days. The winner will have his work displayed for 15 days in a Montecarlo art gallery

This is a great exposure for these artists that will have the opportunity to show their works in this prestigious surrounding and to meet other artists, while the public will visit the Auditorium to see this selection of contemporary art.

The Italian Kuky de Zubeis had the honour  to be chosen for the second time to show his painting at this exclusive venue.  Despite his exotic name, Kuky is from Genoa, a very talented artist, he went to live in Como very young where he started to move his first steps in the fashion and the silk world and working with the most illustrious names in the fashion industry. His work takes Kuky all over the world where he samples the colours and the cultures, and starts a journey in which he needs to look for his roots and his own values.

His life, joy, pain, love, travels, these are the inspirations for Kuky’s works and his knowledge of graphic, colours and artistic techniques are shown in his creations, where acrylic colours are used together with gold leaves on canvas  or linen or in decoupage covering antique furniture and objects in wood and glass . Now Kuky lives in Cannes where he has got an art gallery where he displays his works and he is a consultant for the fashion industry in Milan. He will attend the GemlucART with the painting “ La Jungle” to be in the theme of the environment, while last year he displayed “ La Fleurilege”.
