Fair organisers Patrick Perrin and Stéphane Custot are pleased to announce the return of PAD London 2011, the strongest edition of the fair since its inception in 2007. Praised for its sophistication, its refined eclecticism, and the consistent high quality of its exhibitors, PAD London is recognised today as the leading modern art and design fair.

A rigorous selection process has brought together the best dealers in the world in their respective fields. PAD London today boasts 57 prestigious exhibitors, coming together from Europe, Asia and North America, to convert Berkeley Square into an elegant and diverse emporium of the most covetable works of art within the genres of Modern Art, Design, Decorative Arts, Photography and Tribal Art from 1860 to today.

Newcomers include Scandinavian furniture specialists Dansk Møbelkunst (Denmark) and Modernity (Sweden), both featuring pieces by Arne Jacobson, as well as 20^th Century design dealers Jousse Entreprise (France) and Yves Macaux (Belgium), who will present iconic furniture from Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier, Josef Hoffmann, Otto Wagner and Adolf Loos.

Representing British 19^th and 20^th Century furniture and decorative arts will be Blairman & Sons Ltd (UK), presenting a range of styles from the Arts and Crafts Movement. Rounding out the fair’s strong design presence is David Gill Galleries (UK) with outstanding collections of contemporary design, complemented by the 20^th Century and contemporary furniture on display at the eclectic Nilufar Gallery (Italy).

Modern and contemporary masterpieces from first-time dealers Daniella Luxembourg (UK) and Mitchell-Innes & Nash (USA) will be exhibited alongside unparalleled 19^th and 20^th Century fine artworks at Galleria Tega (Italy) and Hazlitt Holland-Hibbert (UK), by Italian and British artists respectively.

Museum-quality works by 19^th and 20^th Century artists such as Édouard Manet, Pierre Bonnard, Pablo Picasso and Gerhard Richter will be displayed at Eykyn Maclean (UK/USA). Pearl Lam’s Contrasts Gallery (China) will unite stunning contemporary art and design, bridging the gap between Eastern and Western art.

Once again Moët Hennessy sponsors the donation of a major piece of Design or Decorative Arts to the Victoria & Albert Museum as part of the Moët Hennessy-PAD London Prize. The prestigious judging panel, chaired by architect and designer Nigel Coates, is comprised of prominent figures in the fields of art, fashion, culture, communication and business, such as Allegra Hicks, Jasper Conran, Tom Dixon, Bella Freud and Karla Otto. Previous years’ have seen the V&A acquire exquisite pieces from Friedman Benda (USA) and Carpenters Workshop Gallery (UK).

Dublin-born designer and architect David Collins, known for his luxury interiors and design, has been invited to dress the entrance area of this year’s fair. Also a member of the Moët Hennessy-PAD London Prize judging panel, Collins will design and create a lavish foyer to the marquee on Berkeley Square.

In addition, charity partner NSPCC will launch its 2011 project, Bizarre Bazaar, curated by noted dealer and interior designer Francis Sultana. The project focuses on showcasing design pieces specially created by artists and designers, available for purchase at the fair with all proceeds benefitting the NSPCC.

In November of this year, PAD New York will launch at the Park Avenue Armory to coincide with New York’s fall Impressionist and Contemporary auctions. With four successful years of the London fair and the revered reputation of its Parisian counterpart, Pavillon des Arts et du Design Paris, now it its fifteenth year, PAD New York will build on this distinguished heritage to present a third collection of Modern Art, Design, Decorative Arts, Photography, Jewellery and Tribal Art.
